This chapter introduces the concept of money in second life and how it also affects people’s actions in the virtual world.  The author took time to clarify how people actually made income in their lifestyle as a second life resident and added that many people were not able to become as successful as they initially believed they would.  Although he does describe a couple instances in which people were able to find a niche in which they could make a large amount of money and success but added that it was few and far in between.
